Link Up Livingston

Connecting Minds Around Livingston Parish

The Link Up Livingston initiative aims to bridge the digital divide in Louisiana by providing broadband internet access.

This committee was formed from State Representative District 71, Buddy Mincey Jr.’s office after he witnessed first-hand what it’s like not to have a stable connection at home or work due to too slow speeds.

Livingston Parish has many residents who do not have access to broadband internet.

Link Up Livingston is a committee formed by the Livingston Parish Council to address and resolve these issues. Statistics show that approximately 1,000 people in Livingston parish do not have access to any high-speed internet, whereas there are 2,000 people who lack access to broadband (5 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload).

This initiative aims to make broadband available to people across Livingston Parish.

In order to do this, we need your help. Link Up Livingston is asking residents of Livingston Parish to complete an internet speed test so that we can better understand where broadband expansion will be needed most.

Link Up Livingston encourages all residents of Livingston Parish, regardless of whether or not they currently have access to broadband speeds, to complete the test on this page and input the results into the form.

The success of this project lies in the hands of our own community.

Please take the time to complete the speed test as taking this step will allow us to make a better case for broadband expansion.
